White Friday 2026 sale in Saudi Arabia

It is the name Black Friday goes by in the Middle East. It first appeared in 2014 on Souq.com as a four-day shopping event, after its chief executive decided to swap the Western name “Black Friday” for “White Friday”. Its largest markets are the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

The date is fixed: the Friday after Thanksgiving in the United States, which in 2026 is 27 November. The markdowns are not limited to that day, though; they are spread over several days.

Each store picks its own name for the season: “Yellow Friday” at noon, “White Friday” at Amazon Saudi Arabia and “Black Friday” at others. The list below shows how each store takes part.

The figures show the scale of the season. From what Campaign Middle East reported about the 2024 edition:

• White Friday revenue in the Gulf states climbed 40% on 2023, and the number of purchases grew 19.28%.
• In-app purchases on phones across the Middle East jumped 74% on White Friday compared with other November Fridays on average.
• Saudi Arabia and the UAE led the region in sales and shopping interest during the season.

When this page was prepared (October 2026), this year's official dates had not been published, but earlier years give a clear picture: noon Saudi Arabia's Yellow Friday ran from 20 to 30 November in 2025 and over the same days in 2024, and Amazon Saudi Arabia from 21 to 30 November with an extra early day for Prime subscribers.

If that pattern holds, the big markdowns will probably start around 20 November 2026, last until the end of the month and peak on Friday 27 November. This is an estimate drawn from past seasons, not an official announcement.

In its 2025 edition, Amazon Saudi Arabia opened the deals to Prime subscribers 24 hours ahead of everyone else (from 12:01 am on 20 November), held flash deals every day from 8 to 10 pm, and added an instant discount for eligible Al Rajhi cards, an extra discount for Prime subscribers and interest-free instalments in 4 payments via Tabby and Tamara.

Timing therefore matters. A few tips:

• Gather the products you actually plan to buy in the wishlist of each store's app.
• Follow their prices from the start of November so you can compare the deal price with the usual price before it.
• Turn on store app notifications and watch the times of the daily flash deals.
• If you have a subscription such as Prime or noon One, make sure it is active before the season so you get early access.

Mostly they cannot be combined. Take an example from 2024: Al Rajhi Bank announced an extra discount on noon Yellow Friday purchases for its credit and prepaid cardholders, activated with a bank code at checkout, with a minimum order and a discount cap that depended on the card type, and a higher tier for noon One subscribers.

Among that offer's terms:

• It could not be combined with any other discount code.
• Each cardholder could use it only once.
• It did not apply when paying with Apple Pay or noon credit.
• It left out noon gift cards and some low-priced phones.

The Ministry of Commerce has rules for sales in physical and online stores to stop misleading offers, and it checks compliance through inspection rounds. The points that matter most to you as a buyer:

• A store needs a sales licence before advertising a sale, and must display it so you can verify it by scanning its barcode.
• The discount rate has to be stated clearly, as a “from – to” range.
• The price label has to show both the original price and the sale price.
• The store has to publish its exchange and return policy for the sale period.
• The manufacturer's warranty still applies to discounted products.
• You can buy a product on its own without being forced into a linked promotion.

In most cases, yes. The E-Commerce Law lets you cancel the contract within 7 days of receiving the product as long as you have not used it, and the return cost is yours unless the store agrees otherwise.

The right does not cover: products made specially for you, software and discs once used, newspapers, magazines and books, damage caused by misuse, accommodation, transport and meal services, and software downloaded from the internet.

The volume of orders in the season can slow shipping: if the delay passes 15 days from the order date or the agreed date, you can cancel and get back what you paid. Some stores offer a longer return window, so check their policy on the product page before you buy.
